a driven city of kindness and great neighbourhoods

One of the coolest aspects of the loveOttawa project is the incredible scope of people I get to meet and photograph. I get to meet so many talented, creative, innovative, and driven people – but all amazingly genuine, kind and nice! Nancy McDougall is definitely one of those people. She’s a very driven and successful Ottawa realtor, who passionately believes in community and the people of Ottawa. For Nancy, the fine balance of innovative business drive and the compassionate nature of Ottawa is what she loves most about her city.
As a realtor Nancy of course loves the uniqueness and variety of Ottawa’s neighbourhoods. Some of her favourites are New Edinburg, The Glebe, Rockcliffe Park – but what she loves the most is helping her clients find the right neighborhood for them. “Ottawa is such a great city to explore, embrace and call home.”

When I asked Nancy if she had any favourite restaurants, she told me she has so many and they change often. “Frescos is my staple, the atmosphere is perfect for any occasion and the owners are amazing, so I love to support them.” Another favourite is The Moonroom on Preston. “The Moonroom is such an amazing little spot and their bacon wrapped olives are to die for!” And her newest obsession is The Taco Lot on Wellington in Hintonburg – being right next door to Suzie Q Doughnuts makes it a deadly combination! ;)
Nancy is really loving the evolution we’re all seeing in Ottawa right now. “Across the entire city, we see some exciting action from an economical perspective. Restaurants are emerging, new sub divisions are popping up – people are investing in property and new homes and with that, the city continues to grow.” And it’s cool that these changes are happening with a social conscious, which is why we all love Ottawa.
Ottawa has such a rich history with its incredible landscapes and heritage architecture, making our capital such a great city to live in and to share. “Whether you are taking a stroll along the Rideau Canal or in the Byward Market, or are having brunch in New Edinburgh or have decided to check out the Chateau Laurier for afternoon tea, the point is that the city has so much to offer and it really is your oyster.”
Thanks so much to Nancy McDougall for sharing what she loves about her city, her clients are truly lucky to have such a passionate realtor to help them buy or sell their home. For more information about Nancy McDougall: www.premierottawa.ca and/or you can follow her on Twitter at: @NancyM613
