As a parent myself, I’m always looking for fun family activities to do in Ottawa! Ottawa is such a great city with so many ideas for activities and events to do for families.
The Canada Aviation and Space Museum
11 Aviation Parkway (613) 993-2010
The Canada Aviation and Space Museum as Canada’s national museum has earned an international reputation and following and is recognized as having the most extensive aviation collection in Canada and one which ranks among the finest in the world.
Mosaika – Sound and Light Show on Parliament
The Moasic light show on the Parliament Buildings is such a unique family event for Ottawa. It’s a dynamic light show using the Canadian Parliament Buildings as a architectural canvas, walking the viewer through Canada’s History and diverse cultural mosaic. Super fun!
Camp Fortune Aerial Experience
Located in the Gatineau Park – it’s best to go online for directions. (819) 827-5517
(You need to make a reservation, so you’ll need to call.) This is such an awesome family activity in the Ottawa region, but it’s definitely not for the faint of heart – super high platforms fun and fast zip lines! :)
A Museum Visit – take your pick, Ottawa has loads
(Museum of Civilization, Canadian War Museum, The Canadian Museum of Nature, The Bank of Canada’s Currency Museum, and many many more.)
The NAC’s Northern Scene’s Family Day – April 28th 2014
53 Elgin 12:00pm – 5:00pm
This is a fun day for the whole family experiencing culture and traditions of Canada’s North – and it’s all free!
