Ottawa Food Bank

The Ottawa Food Bank was founded in the basement of the former police station on Waller Street in 1984. Originally intended to be temporary in nature, the Ottawa Food Bank has grown to become a staple food relief organization in the Region. Today, we support 140 emergency food programs that feed approximately 48,000 people per month – 37 per cent of whom are children.

Parkdale Food Centre

The Centre focuses on providing fresh, local, wholesome foods to the community bordered by Bayswater Avenue, Carling Avenue, Island Park Drive and the Ottawa River.

The Ottawa Mission

The work of The Ottawa Mission can be witnessed every day in the lives of the individuals they help. Whether it’s providing a place to sleep, a meal, or offering job training – The Ottawa Mission changes lives every day.

The Youville Centre

The Youville Centre is a wonderful non-profit high school in Ottawa, helping teen moms who are wishing to complete their high school diploma while their children are safely cared for in the on-premise daycare. The centre also shares resources and assists the moms learn valuable life skills to help them become even better parents.

JustChange
JustChange is a national network of changemakers committed to supporting the local community through giving circles. JustChange accelerates great ideas through $1,000 bi-monthly grants to initiatives proposed by individuals or organizations that provide positive environmental, social and/or economic outcomes.
