the creative brain trust of a super connected city
Omar Allam photographed in Beaverbrook, Kanata.
Omar Allam has lived and worked in many places around the world, but prefers to not only raise his family here in Ottawa, but to also run his partnership in an international business from his home office in the green-garden neighbourhood of Beaverbrook. Omar is smart, creatively driven, well spoken, and very passionate about connecting Ottawa’s creative and entrepreneurial brain trust to the rest of the world. Omar absolutely loves how connected our creative hub of a city is, allowing any business 24/7 to plug in and do business anywhere in the world .
This site is all about what people love about Ottawa, and Omar certainly does love his city but his true love is his family. And it’s a reoccurring theme with this project that Ottawa is a city with a wonderful blend of entrepreneurial culture mixed with family values – it’s a great city to raise your family and also do business!

I love asking everyone what their favorite Ottawa restaurant is – there’s so many different answers. Omar and his wife Amelia love Hintonburg’s Absinthe because the restaurant cares so much about the customer’s experience. (it’s a close call between the Duck and the Steak Frites btw!) Absinthe prides itself on local ingredients and an elevated culinary experience with a customer focus! Omar also loves Epicuria for their delicious take home meals – he’s also a big fan because Tracey Black and her Epicuria team so beautifully catered his wedding. :)
