warming the hearts of woodpark with a chili cook-off

Shared by Anita Ruivo + Dwayne Brown

The residents of Woodpark celebrating their 2nd Annual Chili Cook-off.

One of the things that Anita and I love the most about Ottawa is its sense of community and family. Yesterday we were invited to drop by the Westend neighbourhood of Woodpark to meet some residents and taste some chili. It was so cool to see how they had the street closed off for some road hockey, games for the kids, some chili tasting and most importantly, for conversations. Big thanks to Susana Mosquera for inviting us out to photograph some long time and new residents, road hockey dads, bundled-up families and chili aficionados!
